Andhra Pradesh launches digital portal for Ganesh festival pandal permits

Andhra Pradesh has rolled out a free online portal to expedite the permission process for Ganesh Chaturthi pandal installations across the state. The digital single-window system, accessible via www.ganeshutsav.net, consolidates all regulatory requirements into one platform, eliminating the need for applicants to approach multiple government departments.

Utsav committees and pandal organisers have been directed to submit their applications through the portal to obtain necessary clearances for setting up temporary structures during the festival season. The initiative is aimed at reducing bureaucratic delays and ensuring a transparent, efficient approval mechanism.

According to Andhra Pradesh's Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta, the online system will facilitate faster processing of applications while maintaining necessary safety and security standards. The portal is designed to handle documentation, approvals, and permit issuance digitally, reducing on-ground interactions and processing time.

The move comes as part of broader efforts by the state administration to leverage technology for citizen services, particularly ahead of major festivals. Organisers can now access real-time updates on their application status through the online platform, ensuring greater transparency and reducing uncertainty in the permission-granting process.
