Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan launched the 'Adavi Thalli Baata 2.0' scheme on Monday, positioning road infrastructure as a critical catalyst for tribal development in Andhra Pradesh. The ₹2,052 crore initiative will lay 1,976 km of roads across 1,341 tribal habitations in the state, substantially improving connectivity to remote forest communities.
Kalyan emphasized that the project transcends conventional road-building efforts, framing infrastructure development as a fundamental pathway to socio-economic progress for tribal populations. The scheme recognizes the role of connectivity in enabling access to healthcare, education, market opportunities, and government services in historically isolated regions.
The 'Adavi Thalli Baata 2.0' programme represents an expansion of previous connectivity efforts and forms part of the state government's broader strategy to integrate tribal communities into regional development frameworks. The initiative targets areas where poor road infrastructure has historically hindered access to essential services and economic opportunities.
The project's implementation is expected to facilitate improved living standards for tribal populations while strengthening economic linkages between remote habitations and urban centers across Andhra Pradesh.
