Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Lokesh will inaugurate the renovated government school in Nellore on September 16, officials confirmed. The facility has been renamed Devireddy Sarada Government High School in recognition of its transformation.
The DSR Group, a Hyderabad-headquartered conglomerate, funded the renovation project entirely through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, contributing ₹13.40 crore towards the modernization effort. The investment represents a substantial commitment to improving educational facilities in the district.
The renovation project is expected to enhance the learning environment for students attending the institution. The refurbishment encompasses infrastructure upgrades aimed at creating better facilities for education delivery in the area.
The inauguration event will underscore the state government's focus on improving school infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh. Such corporate-driven initiatives have increasingly complemented government efforts to strengthen educational amenities in rural and semi-urban regions of South India.
