Andhra Pradesh must prioritize civic infrastructure along key growth corridors: CREDAI

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) has called on the Andhra Pradesh government to strengthen civic infrastructure along critical transportation corridors linking Vizianagaram, Bhogapuram, and Visakhapatnam. The appeal comes as economic development projects gather momentum across these strategically important routes in North Andhra Pradesh.

K.S.C. Bose, vice-president of CREDAI Andhra Pradesh, stressed that inadequate civic amenities could impede growth prospects in the region. He highlighted the need for coordinated infrastructure planning, particularly in water supply, sewerage systems, road connectivity, and waste management facilities, to support the anticipated expansion.

The three locations form a crucial development triangle in the state, with Visakhapatnam serving as a major port city and industrial hub. Bhogapuram is emerging as a secondary urban center, while Vizianagaram maintains significance as a district headquarters. Improved connectivity and basic services along the routes connecting these centers are essential for facilitating trade and attracting investment, according to industry observers.

CREDAI's intervention underscores growing concerns within the real estate sector about the pace of infrastructure development relative to urban expansion. The association has traditionally advocated for better planning coordination between state agencies responsible for housing, transportation, and municipal services to ensure sustainable growth patterns across emerging corridors.
