Four port development projects across Andhra Pradesh have secured necessary environmental and Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearances, clearing the path for infrastructure expansion aimed at substantially lowering logistics costs in the region. The projects include Ramayapatnam Port in Prakasam district, Machilipatnam Port in Krishna district, Kakinada Gateway Port, and Mulapeta Port in Srikakulam district. According to state authorities, the initiatives are expected to reduce logistics costs by up to 50 percent once operational. The clearances represent a significant step forward for the state's maritime development agenda, which seeks to enhance cargo handling capacity and improve connectivity for trade across South Asia.
