Andhra Pradesh authorities have set November 7 as the date for counting votes and announcing results in the Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad (ZPTC and MPTC) elections across the state. The counting process will be overseen by approximately 11,000 counting supervisors and 28,692 assistants and support staff stationed at 365 counting centres distributed throughout the state.
Official protocols dictate that postal ballots will be counted first during the tallying process. This initial phase will be followed by the systematic counting of votes cast during the main polling period.
Security arrangements have been prioritized for the counting day, with nearly 20,000 police personnel deployed across the state. The deployment follows a three-layer security framework to ensure smooth conduct of the counting process and maintain law and order throughout the proceedings.
The elections to local government bodies are considered significant as they determine representation at the grassroots level across Andhra Pradesh. The counting exercise on November 7 will determine the composition of numerous local administration bodies across the state's districts and mandals.
