Andhra Pradesh's health department has taken a significant step toward advancing genomic medicine with the inauguration of a genome sequencing centre at the NATCO cancer facility within Government General Hospital in Guntur. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav oversaw the inauguration of the sequencing centre, which will serve as a crucial resource for cancer diagnostics and genetic research in the state. Looking ahead, the health ministry has announced plans to develop a dedicated Quantum Valley centre for genome analysis in Amaravati.
