Andhra Pradesh YSRCP MLA Varupula Subba Rao defects to Jana Sena

Varupula Subba Rao, the YSRCP MLA representing Prathipadu constituency, along with his political associates, formally joined the Jana Sena Party on Wednesday, signalling a notable shift in the state's political landscape. The move underscores growing churning within the YSRCP ranks as regional parties consolidate their bases.

The defection comes amid intensifying political competition in Andhra Pradesh, where various regional formations are repositioning themselves for electoral advantage. Jana Sena, helmed by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, has been actively expanding its organisational footprint across constituencies.
