The Andrew Jackson Foundation has announced a comprehensive redevelopment initiative aimed at modernizing visitor facilities while maintaining the integrity of the 1,200-acre estate near Nashville. The ambitious project will feature a subterranean design for the new centre, allowing it to remain largely invisible from above ground and preserving views across the historic grounds.

State lawmakers in Tennessee have signalled their support for the initiative by approving $6 million in initial funding towards the $132 million project.
