Anil Kapoor has opened up about moments of professional uncertainty he experienced while working on the 1994 romantic film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha, which starred him alongside Nepali-Indian actress Manisha Koirala.
During the shoot, Kapoor noticed that the camera crew was not filming his portions despite his character Narendra being central to the scene. "When the shooting began, I noticed that they weren't taking my shots at all," the actor recalled. "My character, Narendra, was singing it, but they weren't filming me." The realization prompted the actor to grapple with professional insecurity about his standing on set.
The incident appears to have been resolved during production, as the film ultimately became a commercial success and remains a cherished entry in Hindi cinema's romantic comedy canon. The chemistry between Kapoor and Koirala, combined with the film's memorable music, contributed to its enduring appeal among audiences.
Kapoor's candid recollection offers a glimpse into the challenges actors navigate during film shoots, where creative decisions and technical considerations can sometimes create moments of doubt about one's role and visibility in a project.
