Ankur captures maiden WTT title, doubles gold in Olomouc

Bhattacharjee, ranked 78th in the world, demonstrated clinical form to defeat third-seeded Slovenian Deni Kozul 3-1 in the men's singles final at Olomouc. After losing the opening game 11-9, the Indian regrouped to dominate the subsequent three games, securing victories of 11-4, 11-5, and 11-6 to clinch his maiden WTT title.

The 26-year-old's impressive showing extended to the doubles arena, where he partnered with compatriot Akash Pal to claim gold in the men's doubles competition. The Indo-Indian duo outlasted Hungary's Csaba Andras Szantosi and Poland's Alan Kulczycki Zalewski 3-1 in the final, recovering from a second-game setback to prevail 11-8, 4-11, 13-11, 11-9.

Bhattacharjee's victory marks a significant milestone in his professional career, establishing him as a rising talent in international table tennis. His composed display against Kozul, particularly his ability to adjust tactics after a slow start, underscored his growing maturity on the world circuit. The dual success in Czechia positions Bhattacharjee among India's emerging table tennis prospects competing at the WTT Feeder level.
