The Anuradhapura complex will enhance cardiac care capacity in the North Central Province, reducing the need for patients to travel to Colombo for specialized heart treatments. The facility is expected to address a significant healthcare gap in the region, where cardiovascular diseases remain a leading health concern.
The project reflects the administration's broader healthcare vision to decentralize specialized services and improve access across the island.
