KUALA LUMPUR — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on young Malaysians to keep alive the ideals and contributions of Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, the country's second prime minister and architect of critical nation-building initiatives.
Addressing the issue during a public engagement here on Saturday, Anwar stressed that merely commemorating Tun Razak's legacy was insufficient. Instead, he urged the younger generation to actively champion and advance the former premier's vision in contemporary nation-building efforts.
Tun Razak, who served as prime minister from 1970 to 1976, is credited with establishing foundational economic and political frameworks that shaped modern Malaysia. His tenure witnessed significant developments in national infrastructure, economic restructuring, and institutional strengthening.
