Anwar invites Ethiopia to establish embassy in Kuala Lumpur

Anwar made the invitation during a meeting in New Delhi on September 12, signalling Malaysia's commitment to deepening ties with the East African nation. The move comes as part of efforts to expand Malaysia's diplomatic footprint and foster stronger economic and political partnerships across diverse regions.
The establishment of an Ethiopian embassy in the Malaysian capital would facilitate enhanced cooperation between the two countries on trade, investment, and cultural exchange. It would also provide Ethiopia with a strategic hub for engaging with Southeast Asian nations and strengthening its presence in the region.
