Anwar Links Agriculture Ministry Funding Boost to Financial Accountability

SERDANG, Sept 6 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim indicated today that the government would consider boosting financial allocation to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, provided the ministry maintains strict fiscal discipline and transparent accounting practices.

Anwar's statement underscores the government's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector while ensuring taxpayer funds are managed responsibly. The conditional approach reflects broader efforts to improve governance across government agencies and prevent misallocation of public resources.
