Anwar Pledges Non-Interference in Negeri Sembilan Ruler Matter

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has firmly stated that the federal government will not interfere in matters concerning the position of the Negeri Sembilan ruler, emphasizing the government's respect for the constitutional role of the monarchy.

Anwar cautioned that allowing rulers to be easily removed from their positions would fundamentally undermine the royal institution and the constitutional framework that underpins Malaysia's governance structure. "If a Ruler can be brought down so easily, the royal system will cease to exist in our country," Anwar said, underscoring the importance of maintaining the integrity and stability of the monarchy as a pillar of the nation's institutional framework.
