Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed disappointment with the international order's inability to end Palestinian suffering, highlighting a persistent gap between diplomatic rhetoric and concrete action on the ground.
Addressing an audience in Bangi on October 14, Anwar emphasised that the longstanding Palestinian issue requires urgent intervention from the global community. He stressed that despite numerous calls for resolution, the international framework has fallen short in delivering meaningful relief to affected populations.
The Prime Minister's remarks reflect Malaysia's longstanding position as a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights within regional and international forums. Anwar has previously championed stronger multilateral engagement on Middle Eastern conflicts, positioning Malaysia as a bridge-builder in regional diplomacy.
His comments come amid renewed focus on humanitarian concerns in the region, with Malaysian officials continuing to call for renewed diplomatic efforts to achieve a lasting resolution to the conflict.
