Anwar takes mentoring role in Malaysia's BRICS diplomatic push

KUALA LUMPUR — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has adopted a hands-on approach to Malaysia's diplomatic mission within BRICS, assuming a mentoring role as the country deepens its engagement with the influential bloc of emerging economies.

Anwar's active involvement underscores Malaysia's commitment to building substantive relationships within BRICS, which comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The Prime Minister's mentorship of officials involved in the diplomatic initiative reflects the government's view that BRICS engagement represents a significant avenue for advancing Malaysia's economic and geopolitical interests.
