Andhra Pradesh expanded its network of community health facilities with the inauguration of 56 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Kurnool and Anantapur districts. The centres were launched as part of a larger initiative to establish 267 such health and wellness facilities across the state. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav formally inaugurated the centres from Janardhanapuram in Krishna district, signalling the state's commitment to strengthening grassroots healthcare infrastructure. The Ayushman Arogya Mandir scheme focuses on providing accessible primary healthcare services at the community level, addressing gaps in medical provision across rural and semi-urban areas. These wellness centres are designed to serve as first-contact facilities for residents, offering preventive care, health education, and basic treatment services to reduce the burden on tertiary care institutions and improve health outcomes across the state.
