Apple enters foldable market with iPhone Duo at Rs 2.99 lakh

Apple's long-awaited entry into the foldable smartphone segment marks a significant shift in the company's product strategy. The iPhone Duo, priced at Rs 2.99 lakh, represents the tech giant's response to the growing demand for flexible-display devices that have gained traction among premium smartphone buyers.

The device is equipped with a 7.6-inch inner display that expands when unfolded, providing users with an expansive screen for multimedia consumption and productivity tasks. The iPhone Duo runs on Apple's proprietary A20 Pro chip, designed to handle intensive applications and multitasking across the foldable display.

Camera specifications include dual 48-megapixel sensors, positioning the device as a capable photography tool for discerning users. The phone incorporates Touch ID for biometric authentication and carries an IP68 rating, offering protection against dust and water immersion up to specified depths and durations.

However, the iPhone Duo is comparatively heavier than several competing foldable devices currently available in the market.
