Apple iPhone Duo display repair costs soar to Rs 1.49 lakh

Apple's official service portal has disclosed repair costs for the iPhone Duo foldable device, highlighting the expensive nature of fixing damage to the innovative handset. Basic repair services are priced at Rs 5,900, according to the company's published rates. However, display-related damage carries a substantially higher price tag, with Apple charging Rs 1,49,000 for display repairs—reflecting the complexity and cost of the foldable screen technology. The disparity between routine maintenance and screen replacement underscores the premium pricing associated with foldable smartphone technology. The high cost of display repairs is typical for foldable devices, where the specialized screen assembly represents a significant portion of the device's overall value. Apple's repair pricing structure suggests that accidental damage to the foldable display could prove considerably expensive for users not covered by additional protection plans.
