An employee of a Delhi-based businessman fell victim to an armed robbery on Wednesday evening while transporting a substantial sum of cash through the city. The victim, identified as Satender, was carrying Rs 20 lakh in a bag intended for a business payment when the incident occurred near Hari Nagar Ghanta Ghar, according to police reports.
The robbers, who were armed, accosted Satender and forcibly took the cash before fleeing the scene. No details regarding the number of assailants or their direction of escape were immediately disclosed by authorities.
The Delhi Police have registered a case and are conducting investigations into the matter. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from the area and gathering statements from witnesses to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for the robbery.
