PAGADIAN CITY — Law enforcement officials have secured the arrest of one of the individuals suspected in the death of a DepEd supervisor who was killed last April in Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay. The suspect was taken into custody by members of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company during an operation conducted in the area.

The apprehension comes months after the victim's death and represents progress in what authorities have been investigating as a murder case. The warrant of arrest was issued following investigative work by police personnel assigned to the case.

Details regarding the circumstances surrounding the April incident and the suspected motive behind the killing remain under investigation. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional arrests as the case continues to develop.

The arrest is among several law enforcement operations conducted in Mindanao in recent months aimed at addressing violent crimes affecting residents and government workers across the region.
