Arunachal CM hails engineers' pivotal role in state progress

Chief Minister Khandu on Tuesday highlighted the transformative impact of the engineering community on Arunachal Pradesh's progress, emphasizing their responsibility in converting concepts into tangible projects that enhance living standards and drive economic expansion.

Marking National Engineers' Day, Khandu recalled the "extraordinary legacy" of Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya, the visionary engineer whose innovations in water management, dam construction, and infrastructure development fundamentally shaped modern India's foundational framework.

Khandu described Visvesvaraya's meticulous approach to precision and disciplined execution as a continuing inspiration for contemporary engineers. "Honoured with the Bharat Ratna in 1955, his dedication to precision and disciplined work remains a guiding light for engineers everywhere," the chief minister noted in a statement.

Beyond his technical accomplishments, Khandu acknowledged that Visvesvaraya's influence extended into broader domains of nation-building, positioning him as a role model whose contributions transcended conventional engineering and infrastructure sectors. The chief minister's remarks underscore the state government's recognition of engineers' essential function in facilitating development initiatives and addressing contemporary challenges.
