Ashish Chatterjee takes charge as MD of Chennai Metro Rail

Ashish Chatterjee has assumed office as Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), the state-owned enterprise responsible for operating and maintaining the metro rail system in Chennai. The appointment places him at the helm of one of India's major rapid transit networks, which serves the capital of Tamil Nadu and its surrounding regions.

CMRL operates the Chennai Metro, a critical public transportation infrastructure project that has transformed urban mobility in the city since its inception.
