Athletes competing at the Asian Games have publicly criticised a series of logistical failures that have marred the event, citing transport mix-ups, accommodation shortages, and demanding competition schedules as persistent problems.

Several competitors reported being transported to wrong venues, disrupting their preparation and forcing them to navigate confusing routing systems. The issues extend to scheduling pressures, with some athletes required to compete in multiple matches within a 18-hour window—a gruelling pace that has raised concerns about competitor welfare and fair competition standards.

Accommodation challenges have added to the mounting difficulties, with insufficient or improperly organised lodging creating additional strain on visiting delegations. The cumulative effect of these organisational lapses has prompted athletes to characterise their experience as significantly diminished from expected standards.
