Asyraf Won't Quit Over PKR Youth Pressure, Says Zahid Call Only
The Umno politician has dismissed demands from PKR Youth for his resignation over Tabung Haji allegations, saying he would only step down if directly asked by his party president.

Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has rejected calls from PKR Youth for him to resign over his alleged involvement in the Tabung Haji scandal, insisting that only a directive from Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi would prompt his departure from office.
The politician said he would not respond to pressure from opposition parties or external groups seeking his removal, emphasizing that such decisions fell within the purview of his own party leadership.
"If Zahid asks me to step down, I will comply," Asyraf stated, drawing a clear distinction between party directives and external demands. "But I will not resign because PKR Youth or any other party has called for it."
The Tabung Haji scandal has drawn scrutiny from multiple political quarters, with various groups calling for accountability from officials linked to the fund management issues. Asyraf's statement comes as pressure mounts on several government figures connected to the matter.
Umno has yet to issue any formal directive regarding Asyraf's position, and he remains in his current role pending any party action.
