PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) Grade School Department has enhanced its security measures in response to circulating messages that alleged a potential violent incident at the campus.
School administrators said Sunday that while they had taken the threat reports seriously, no substantiated evidence of an actual threat to the institution had been identified. The alleged threat reportedly involved a possible attack scheduled for Monday, October 19.
The university moved swiftly to implement additional protective measures across the grade school campus to ensure student and staff safety. The enhanced protocols included increased campus patrols and security checkpoints, though specific details were not disclosed.
School authorities reassured parents and the wider community that normal operations would continue while security enhancements remained in place. They urged the public to report any credible threats or suspicious activities to school administration or law enforcement authorities.
