Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) has suspended all classes following a fatal shooting on campus that claimed two lives, including the alleged gunman. The incident has left the university community in shock and mourning.
AdZU President Fr. Anthony "Ernald" Andal, SJ, expressed profound sadness over the tragedy on Tuesday. "We were saddened by the fatal shooting inside the campus," Andal said, noting the loss of two students in the incident.
In response to the shooting, the university announced the immediate suspension of classes across the institution. AdZU has also declared a university-wide observance aimed at honoring the victims and providing support to grieving members of the campus community.
