Ather Energy offers discounted e-scooters to armed forces personnel

Ather Energy, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a partnership with the Central Canteen Department Services (CDS) to provide its scooters to armed forces personnel at special rates. Under the agreement, military staff will be able to purchase Ather e-scooters through the CDS portal, marking a significant expansion of the company's distribution channels.

Purchasers will benefit from GST concessions in addition to exclusive discounts on Ather's scooter models. The initiative positions Ather as the second electric two-wheeler manufacturer to secure a listing on the CDS platform, reflecting growing institutional acceptance of electric mobility solutions within India's defence sector.

The partnership represents a strategic move by Ather to tap into the armed forces market, a segment increasingly open to sustainable transportation alternatives.
