Audi begins domestic Q3 assembly in Maharashtra ahead of mid-October launch
German luxury automaker Audi has commenced local production of its new Q3 compact SUV at a joint facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, with the model set to reach Indian showrooms on October 16.

Audi India has initiated assembly of the all-new Q3 at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen manufacturing plant in Shendra, marking a significant expansion of the brand's local production capabilities. The vehicle launch is scheduled for October 16, the company confirmed in a statement on Friday.
The latest Q3 iteration will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine coupled with Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system, delivering what the company describes as enhanced dynamic performance. The model will introduce several segment-first features and technologies designed to appeal to buyers in India's premium automotive segment.
Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, called the development an important milestone for the group's operations in the country. He highlighted that the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility's production capabilities had enabled the company to begin manufacturing the new Q3 domestically.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director for Audi India, described the production commencement as a significant step forward for the luxury brand ahead of the imminent market launch. The local assembly is expected to enhance the Q3's competitiveness in India's growing premium SUV segment.
