The robbery occurred when the Australian tourist was walking along a street in Bali. A motorcyclist riding past allegedly made a swift grab for the gold necklaces the visitor was wearing, before fleeing the scene with the valuable items.
Police valued the stolen jewelry at approximately AU$17,000, equivalent to around US$12,255. The incident marks another case of street crime targeting visitors to the island, which remains one of the region's most popular tourist destinations despite periodic security challenges.
