Australian umpire Ben Treloar will take charge of two high-profile Ranji Trophy fixtures this season, bringing his extensive international experience to Indian domestic cricket. Treloar is scheduled to officiate Delhi's match against Gujarat from October 18-21 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, followed by Mumbai's clash with Haryana at the Wankhede Stadium from October 26-29.
The posting is part of a bilateral umpire exchange agreement between Cricket Australia and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Under the reciprocal arrangement, India's Parashar Joshi will undertake a simultaneous assignment in Australia, where he will officiate three matches across the Sheffield Shield and One Day Cup competitions.
Joshi's Australian tour will commence with Queensland's Sheffield Shield encounter against Tasmania at the Gabba from November 11-14. He will subsequently stand in the two sides' One Day Cup fixture at the same venue on November 16 before concluding his tour with the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Queensland at the Sydney Cricket Ground from November 22-25.
The exchange programme underscores the growing collaboration between the two cricket boards in developing umpiring standards and providing international exposure to officials from both nations. Treloar brings considerable experience from his cricket career, having officiated in numerous First-Class and List A matches.
