Authorities seize 91 unregistered vehicles in island-wide enforcement operation

Ninety-one vehicles have been seized in an island-wide operation targeting motorists operating unregistered or deregistered vehicles, according to a joint statement from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) on Monday.

The impounded vehicles were being used on public roads without valid Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) or current road tax payments, authorities said. The operation underscores ongoing enforcement efforts to ensure compliance with Singapore's vehicle registration requirements.

Vehicle owners who fail to maintain valid COEs and road tax face penalties under Singapore's road traffic regulations. The LTA and SPF regularly conduct enforcement operations to detect and remove non-compliant vehicles from circulation.

The joint operation reflects authorities' commitment to maintaining road safety standards and ensuring all vehicles on Singapore's roads meet statutory requirements. Motorists are reminded to keep their vehicle documentation current and valid to avoid enforcement action and potential fines.
