Authorities seize over 500 sacks of illegal mineral ore in Dapitan
Philippine authorities have impounded 505 sacks of suspected illegally extracted mineral ore at Pulawan Port in Dapitan City, Zamboura del Norte. The driver of the cargo vehicle has been taken into custody for questioning.

Customs and law enforcement officials seized the contraband shipment from a wing van on Sunday afternoon during routine port operations. The vehicle, registered under license plate AAV-4007, was operated by Ramil Tolibas, 52, a resident of Southern Leyte province.
The illegal mineral ore haul represents a significant interdiction in the Philippines' ongoing efforts to combat unauthorized mining extraction and smuggling operations.
