The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized approximately 12 kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P81.6 million during an operation at the Batangas City port on Wednesday morning.
The joint law enforcement effort resulted in the arrest of four male suspects aged 18, 29, 30, and 41 years old. All four individuals are residents of Malate, according to authorities.
The operation represents a significant interdiction in the government's ongoing campaign against illegal drug trafficking in the region. The confiscated methamphetamine and arrested suspects have been turned over to appropriate authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The seizure underscores continued efforts by the PCG and PDEA to prevent the flow of illicit narcotics through Philippine ports and waterways.
