Ayodhya residents voice discontent with BJP's development focus

Political opposition in Ayodhya is mounting as residents express frustration over the scope and distribution of development initiatives under the current BJP administration, according to regional leaders.

Critics argue that infrastructure improvements and urban development work have been disproportionately concentrated in areas surrounding the Ram Temple, leaving other parts of the holy city underserved. Concerns have been raised about neglected neighbourhoods, rural areas within municipal limits, healthcare facilities, and basic civic amenities that residents say require urgent attention.

The Samajwadi Party, positioning itself as an alternative, has promised a more comprehensive development agenda. Party representatives have stated that if elected to power, development initiatives would extend beyond the temple precinct to encompass city lanes, villages, hospitals, and essential local services across Ayodhya.

The grievances reflect broader concerns in the temple city about balancing tourism and religious infrastructure with everyday municipal needs. Local residents have indicated that while the Ram Temple's development holds symbolic significance, practical issues affecting daily life deserve equal administrative focus.
