The Ram Nagar in Ayodhya will transform into a glowing spectacle as preparations advance for the tenth edition of the Deepotsav festival, aimed at etching a historic milestone in the city's cultural calendar. More than 30 lakh diyas will be illuminated simultaneously across 56 ghats along the sacred riverfront, creating an unprecedented visual display.
Beyond the traditional earthen lamps, the festival will feature a technological dimension with approximately 2,100 drones programmed to create aerial formations depicting scenes from the Ramayana above the city skyline. The synchronized light show promises to blend ancient tradition with modern innovation, offering viewers a unique spiritual experience.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate the celebrations as chief guest. The occasion will witness 2,151 priests performing a grand Maha Aarti ceremony, underscoring the religious significance of the event.
In a notable display of communal harmony, Muslim artisans have joined efforts alongside other craftspeople to prepare the decorative tableaus and installations for the festival, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the celebration.
