BAGUIO CITY — Burnham Lake has reopened its waters to boaters and recreational visitors after undergoing an extensive P480-million rehabilitation program that kept the century-old landmark closed for nearly a year.
The lake welcomed back the public on Tuesday, September 1, when Mayor Benjamin Magalong led a ribbon-cutting ceremony as part of the city's 117th charter day celebrations. Residents and visitors took to newly constructed boardwalks surrounding the lake, marking the return of its traditional boat rides that have long been a draw for tourists and locals alike.
