Baloch separatist group claims attack on Pakistan military camp

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a separatist organization, has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Frontier Corps military camp in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan. According to the group's statement, the assault resulted in the deaths of 18 Pakistani military personnel, with additional casualties reported among the wounded.

The BLF said the operation involved two of its armed units: the newly-formed Kareema Armed Assault Division and the Qurbaan Unit. The group, which has previously conducted armed campaigns in the resource-rich but conflict-affected region, regularly issues statements regarding militant operations targeting Pakistani security forces.

Balochistan has experienced decades of armed insurgency, with separatist groups and militant organizations conducting periodic attacks against military and paramilitary installations. The BLF remains one of the more active organizations operating in the province, which has seen intensified security operations in recent years.

Pakistani military officials have not yet issued an official statement confirming the attack or casualty figures reported by the BLF. Independent verification of claims made by militant groups in the region remains difficult due to restricted media access and ongoing security concerns.
