Bangalore Metro clears safety protocols for new six-car train rollout

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has received safety clearance to introduce new six-car trainsets on the Purple and Green Lines of the city's rapid transit network. The approval follows comprehensive safety assessments and compliance reviews conducted by the relevant regulatory authorities.

The induction of the additional trainsets is expected to enhance the operational capacity of these two corridors, allowing the metro system to accommodate rising passenger demand across Bangalore. The Purple Line, which connects the airport to key city locations, and the Green Line, serving the eastern and western sectors, will benefit from increased frequency and reduced crowding during peak hours.
