Bangladesh and Nepal to jointly host Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup

Bangladesh and Nepal have been selected as co-hosts for the 2027 ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup, marking a significant milestone for cricket development in South Asia. The tournament will utilise four venues across the two nations, with matches scheduled to run for over two weeks beginning January 21.

Chattogram in Bangladesh and Sylhet, along with Kirtipur and Mulpani in Nepal, will serve as the primary match venues. The host cities represent key cricket hubs in both nations and have been equipped to host international women's cricket competitions.

The tournament's showpiece matches will be concentrated in Chattogram during the final week of the competition. The city will host both semi-finals on February 4, followed by the championship match on February 6. This arrangement underscores Chattogram's status as a premier cricket destination in the region.

The co-hosting arrangement between Bangladesh and Nepal reflects the International Cricket Council's commitment to expanding women's cricket development across Asia. The Under-19 format provides a crucial pathway for emerging female cricketers to gain international experience and compete at the highest junior level.
