The government of Bangladesh has published the comprehensive public holiday schedule for 2027, providing citizens and businesses with advance notice of official days off throughout the year. The calendar incorporates major religious festivals, including Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, alongside significant national and historical observances.

Eid celebrations will be observed on dates determined by the Islamic lunar calendar and sighting of the moon. Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan, and Eid-ul-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, typically span multiple days to allow citizens time for prayer, family gatherings, and community celebrations.

The 2027 holiday schedule also encompasses secular national days commemorating important moments in Bangladesh's history, including Independence Day on March 26 and Victory Day on December 16. Additional holidays recognize Bengali cultural heritage and other religious observances followed by minority communities across the country.

Employers and institutions are advised to review the official holiday calendar to plan business operations, staffing arrangements, and service schedules accordingly. The government holiday list serves as the standard reference for determining public sector closures and widely recognized observances across the nation.
