Bangladesh national detained over indecent assault on LRT train

Ampang Jaya police chief Farouk Eshak confirmed the arrest following the incident, which took place when the victim boarded an LRT train at Wangsa Maju Station with the intention of traveling to Pasar Seni Station. According to police, the suspect allegedly committed an indecent act against the woman during the journey. The swift response from authorities came after the victim lodged a report with the police. Ampang Jaya police are continuing their investigation into the matter, with the suspect currently in custody. The incident has renewed concerns about passenger safety on the city's public transport network, particularly during peak travel hours. Police are urging commuters to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to authorities immediately.
