Bangladesh to introduce unified national ID card system

Bangladesh is moving forward with an ambitious plan to streamline its identification system by introducing a unified national ID card that will serve as the primary document for all citizens. The project, which has received official approval, aims to replace the current system of multiple identity documents with a single, standardized card containing consolidated personal information.
