Bangsamoro Chief Minister Pushes Cabinet Appointments Forward

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof "Sammy Gambar" Macacua has imposed a 5 p.m. deadline for the selection committee to submit candidates for Cabinet positions, signaling efforts to expedite the completion of the government's leadership structure.

The recruitment process involves filling at least 15 ministerial and deputy ministerial roles, along with multiple agency head positions across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The accelerated timeline reflects Macacua's priority to establish a functioning Cabinet and move forward with the administration's agenda. The positions represent key portfolios across the regional government's executive branch.

Once nominees are submitted, Macacua will review candidates and make final appointments to complete the Cabinet formation process. The moves come as the BARMM continues implementation of its autonomous governance framework established under the Bangsamoro Organic Law.
