COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Federalist Party claimed a commanding majority in the Bangsamoro Parliament on Friday, announcing it has secured the support of 46 of the legislature's 80 members ahead of its inaugural session scheduled for October 30.

Member of Parliament-elect Naguib Sinarimbo, speaking on behalf of the party, said the coalition had solidified its position to organize and lead the new regional parliament. The announcement underscores the BFP's dominance in the Bangsamoro region's political landscape following the establishment of the autonomous regional government.

With a coalition exceeding the 40-seat threshold needed for a working majority, the BFP is positioned to shape the parliamentary agenda and elect key leadership positions when lawmakers convene later this month. The party's majority coalition signals early momentum for its legislative priorities in the new Bangsamoro Parliament.
