Barcelona crush Alaves 6-1 to reclaim La Liga summit

Barcelona delivered a devastating attacking display to overcome Alaves and restore their title credentials on Saturday. The Catalans, seeking redemption following two recent losses that had threatened their championship push, produced a clinical performance highlighted by goals from Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, who each scored twice.

The emphatic victory underscored Barcelona's offensive prowess and their capacity to respond to adversity during a tightly contested league campaign. With the six-goal haul, the club demonstrated the attacking depth that has characterised their season, with multiple forwards finding the back of the net.

The win allows Barcelona to consolidate their position at the summit of La Liga, sending a message to their rivals about their title ambitions. The result provides crucial momentum as the season progresses, suggesting the club has overcome the recent setback that had raised questions about their consistency.

Barcelona's performance against Alaves exemplified the kind of dominant display that had built their early-season form, offering supporters and analysts reassurance that recent defeats represented a temporary lapse rather than a fundamental weakness in the squad's capabilities.
