Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to lock horns in the first El Clasico of the 2026-27 campaign, with the fixture carrying significant implications for the La Liga title push. The match, hosted at Barcelona's Camp Nou, comes at a critical juncture in the season when early momentum can prove decisive in the championship race.

Both sides have named their starting lineups ahead of the highly anticipated encounter. The tactical setup and team selection will offer early indications of how each side plans to approach the intensely competitive fixture, with managers looking to establish an early psychological edge.

El Clasico carries historical significance as one of world football's most watched rivalries, and this season's opening installment is no exception. The result is expected to have a cascading effect on the La Liga title race, potentially shifting the dynamics between the two powerhouses.

With the campaign still in its early stages, victory for either side would provide crucial three points and the confidence that comes with a high-profile win. Real Madrid face the added challenge of overcoming Barcelona's home advantage at one of Europe's most intimidating venues, while Barcelona will be determined to establish early dominance in their quest for domestic honours.
