MANILA — Batangas 1st District Representative Leandro Leviste has settled his bail obligations in a case involving alleged violations of the Public Service Act, according to National Bureau of Investigation Director Melvin Matibag.

Leviste posted P72,000 bail at the Makati Regional Trial Court through a cash payment, Matibag said. The representative's legal team submitted the bail following a court order, with a designated representative handling the transaction on his behalf.

The charges relate to alleged breaches of the Public Service Act, though additional details regarding the specific allegations remain limited. Leviste's bail payment allows him to secure temporary release pending further court proceedings.

The case is being heard at the Makati Regional Trial Court, one of the region's major judicial venues. Legal proceedings are expected to continue as the matter moves through the court system.
